To get started, submit a production services request. This is the primary way CSDtv accepts work; it ensures your project—and all pertinent information—is added to our queue. If you have an idea, but want to discuss logistics and timeline before submitting a request, our team can work with you. Reach us at video@canyonsdistrict.org for a consultation.
Upon submission of your request, a email will be sent to your supervisor to ensure department/school approval. Once that is done, you will receive an email confirmation with a job number. A member of the CSDtv team will contact you to get started or to make recommendations on how best to complete your project successfully.
A project timeline will be determined by the project supervisor based on your needs, project complexity, and available resources at the time of project acceptance. To determine the project timeline, the project supervisor will ask for the following information:
Depending on the size and scope of your project, our place in the academic calendar, other projects already in production, and if final content is received, time frames for production and delivery will vary. We appreciate your assistance in planning well ahead so that your needs can be met.
You have several options on how many cameras you need to cover your event. Choose from one of the options below.
We almost always recommend a minimum of three cameras for events. Having three cameras gives us enough flexibility to make a production look as if it has been professionally produced. At any given time one camera is live, one is ready to go live, and one is positioning for a new shot. It also gives three different perspectives, which adds variety and makes it easier to make sure that everything happening during an event has good coverage.
