CSDtv is the video production and broadcast program for Canyons School District in Sandy, Utah. Founded over 5 years ago, it's grown from a single classroom into one of the most active student media operations in the state — producing more than 250 videos and live broadcasts every school year.
Students in CSDtv don't simulate a production environment. They run one. Every event we cover, every video we produce, every live broadcast we air — it's real work, for real audiences, with real consequences if something goes wrong. That's what makes it different.
We cover board of education meetings, district galas, school events, community stories, and everything in between. If something important is happening in Canyons District, CSDtv is likely there with a camera.

Broadcast and media training done right is career preparation — not elective enrichment. CSDtv students graduate with a production reel, professional references, and hands-on experience operating cameras, directing live broadcasts, editing video, and managing productions from concept to delivery.

Two Rocky Mountain Southwest Emmy nominations
CSDtv has received two nominations from the Rocky Mountain Southwest Emmy chapter — one of the only student broadcast programs in Utah to be recognized at the regional Emmy level. It's a reflection of the professional standard our students are held to, and the quality of work they consistently produce.
